Who Is NMEDA?
Founded in 1989, NMEDA is a nonprofit trade association representing mobility equipment dealers, manufacturers, and driver rehabilitation specialists across North America.
NMEDA’s mission is to advocate for safe, reliable mobility through industry standards, education, and certification. The organization serves as the unifying voice of the mobility industry, ensuring that every adaptive vehicle and mobility solution meets rigorous safety and quality benchmarks.
One of NMEDA’s most influential initiatives is the Quality Assurance Program (QAP), the only nationally recognized accreditation program for mobility equipment dealers. QAP ensures that customers receive properly installed, tested, and maintained mobility equipment from certified professionals who adhere to the highest standards of service and safety.
